Surface Protection

Even though protecting glass is by far our most requested service, we at GlassProtech New Zealand also provide surface protection and scratch removal services for a number of other hard surfaces.
Surface Protection Solutions for Stainless Steel
Many modern buildings use stainless steel as a surface material on wall paneling and lifts, due to its’ hardwearing characteristics. Healthcare, airports and other facilities where hygiene and cleanliness is paramount, stainless steel is used due to it being easy to clean.
We work with a wide range of clients to provide cost-efficient solutions for dealing with scratched stainless steel wall panels, acid etched stainless steel lifts, building interiors and exterior surfaces.
Our skilled staff can restore vandalized or accidentally scratched stainless steel surfaces cost-effectively and protect the surfaces from further damage. Contact your local branch for a free assessment.
Surface Protection Solutions for ACM
ACM (Aluminium Composite Material), also sometimes called ACP (Aluminium Composite Panel) or Alucobond, are hard materials used frequently in signage and cladding, due to their durability, lightness and low price point. Sometimes called “Sandwich Panel”, these are made of layers of aluminium and non-aluminium materials.
As a material, ACM is known for being generally durable but its’ weakness is that it does not sustain harsh climatic conditions such as sunlight, UV radiation, dust and coastal weather very well.
GlassProtech can prolong the life-cycle of your ACM signage, by applying a suitable sacrificial film on it, providing a cost-efficient solution for maintaining a tidy construction whilst keeping costs to a minimum.

Surface Protection Solutions for Powder-Coated Surfaces
Powder coating is a finishing process, where dry thermoset powder is applied on top of a surface, and then dried in a high-temperature oven. This process melts the powder, creating a durable and smooth protective coating. Usually powder coating is applied on metal substrates such as stainless steel, aluminum, steel and brass, but it can also be applied to any non-metals that can endure the heating process.
GlassProtech provides sacrificial protection for powder coated surfaces, protecting them from scratches and etching damage.
Contact your local GlassProtech team to discuss protecting your powder coated surfaces.
